The first thing I do after I roll out of bed is check my email.
Living in a western time zone means that most people have already
answered their morning email lot, so there's usually something
interesting to encourage me out of bed.

I often have mixed feelings about mornings. Overall they're good
because it means a brand new day. Either way, a shower always helps.

If I don't finish my homework the night before, I've got a
couple hours before class. This homework for advanced numerical
methods, in which we approximate exact solutions, was a second order
partial differential equation. If I remember right we were suppose to
solve the analytical solution of Laplace's heat equation with the
following boundary conditions.

Calculus! Yah!

On some days I enjoy my break between classes outside the
engineering student center. The building on the left is where most of
the engineering classes are held.

Clear skies are a common sight in Arizona.

On a campus of over 50,000 students, a bicycle is very handy.

After school I usually relax by watching some TV or listening to
music. From Baroque to Early 20th Century, my playlist contains a
glimpse of the vast artistic riches of the classics.

Grilling is common all year round in Arizona...except during
summer which is fast approaching. Today was a beautiful spring day,
but we won't be getting very many more of those this year.

Hot dogs. Yummy!

What interesting things can I find on our small patch of lawn
in the back yard while I wait for dinner to cook. I love looking at
the world through the eyes of a bug...or in this case, my macro lense.

After dinner I sat down to practice the piano for a bit. I am
working on Chopin for a small concert we're hosting this summer. In
addition to some solo pieces, a friend of mine from Philadelphia and I
will be playing a Mozart sonata for two pianos, and hopefully some of
Schubert's two piano works as well.

A scale a day keeps the piano teacher away! You'll use it
someday, I promise. This is a perfect example. Chopin often is very
visually stimulating on the page due to his wide range on the keyboard
and use of accidentals. Sometimes incredibly simple, other times not
as much so.

This evening I attended a musical performance at an elementary
school for one of my 2nd grade piano students.

With most of the lights out in the house and my parents in
their room reading, it's time for some night music. A Chopin nocturne
should do the trick. Sweet dreams...
